It's been one after the other of these heartfelt nonfiction autobiographic novels as I continue to fulfill my fundamental obligation of finding the meaning for my existence.

When Breath Becomes Air was written by Paul Kalanithi in his last years after being diagnosed with late stage lung cancer as he was soon graduating from residency in neurosurgery. Sad and "accidentally inspiring," the author's introspection throughout the book made me revise and reiterate my life values continually questioning if they should change in relation to time.

One of the most frequently recommended books to me - happy to have finally gotten around to it. It was a very moving memoir in both medicine and literature and similar to a philosophic novel, it brings you to ruminate on questions you may have never asked yourself.

Life wasn’t about avoiding suffering.
